Every home maker is always on a hunt to look for ways to do everyday chores in a more simple and efficient manner to get the job done faster and also to the desired effect. Sharing hacks for the same may almost be the kindest thing on the internet these days.
Well here is my kind deed in this spirit, listing 3 simple and effective home hacks. Thank me later!
1. Fix your Scratched Furniture
Scratches across wooden furniture in homes are very common, especially if the said home has kids roaming free. Wooden pieces of furniture maybe of different varieties of wood but suffer equally from the stain of scratches. Luckily there is a common hack to solve this common problem. Take a piece of opened walnut and rub it over the surface of the scratched wood, it may take a few minutes but witness the magic.
The oil within the walnut leaches out and makes the scratch that much harder to spot and saves you an expert’s visit.
2. Sooth Your Ferocious Zipper
Zippers are a convenient form of clothing that has replaced buttons to quite an extent. But anyone who has experienced an angered zipper has been embarrassed, hurt or plain infuriated with it. A stuck zipper becomes quite harsh and difficult to pull up, while force is the first solution that people fall for, it does not solve the problem.
Here is a simple and effective home hack for soothing your ferocious zipper, use an ordinary bar of soap to grease the chain on your zipper. The soap lubricates the zipper perfectly getting it back to mint condition.
3. Keep Your Salt Clump Free
Folks living in humid areas will definitely sympathize with salt clumping as a life problem. The moisture in the air not only clumps the salt together it also drives most of the flavor out of it. Storing salt on the dining table can become a struggle in such circumstances.
A simple and effective home hack to keep your table salt clump free is to add raw rice to the sprinkler. The rice will absorb all of the moisture and keep your table salt fresh for a long time.
